Today is Bread Day. We at MIWE are also celebrating this day in a most fitting manner and expressing our appreciation to all bakers who foster and develop this culture day after day.

Today marks the seventh anniversary of Bread Day, which was established to honour the unique variety and quality of German bread culture, which is prized worldwide. All over Germany, guild bakers are celebrating the diversity of their specialities and are inviting consumers to commemorate this day with them. The Advertising Association of the German Bakery Trade (Werbegemeinschaft des Deutschen Bäckerhandwerks) recommends, for example, an exclusive bread tasting session or the creation of a special holiday bread. By the way, German bread culture has even been part of the immaterial cultural heritage of UNESCO Germany since 2014.
